HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WAKIN!

December 22, 2006!

 

  • GREAT articles about Wakin's fabulous December 2nd 20th Anniversary concert in Singapore at Every Wakin's Moment! (Click the date link at the bottom to see a page of links for reviews and articles.)  There are also two very good English-language reviews! 

November 2006

  • Great new updates to Wakin.com at Wakin20.com and Delay Live ! Wakin20.com has a new installment!  "Part 2" is accessible at the bottom of the main intro. page.  Select the first of the two "book covers" to enter. Delay Live updates include lots of great pictures from Malaysia last year during the 2005 Anthology tour with Jonathan Li!  The newest installments are at the bottom of the list.  Enjoy!

September-October 2006

August 2006

  • Wakin's new site is up and running!  The entrance to 20.com is up on the home page of Wakin.com--go by and check it out!  (A few technical notes:  20.com runs in flash player, and works best with Microsoft Internet Explorer.  So if you're using a different browser and not getting anywhere, try again using IE.)

     

  • Wakin will be joined on stage in Taipei on September 2 and 3 by a very special guest--his son, Andrew!!  The press release video includes special video footage of Andrew and his father singing a duet of "My Dearest Baby," the song Wakin wrote for Andrew when he was born!  The video clip can be found here  or hereMany thanks to Yanyan and to Andy of WWS/WCI for the information!

  • New and exciting changes are coming to Wakin.com on August 20!  Wakin himself announced these upcoming changes in an August 5 update to the News section of Wakin.com. (Click here to read Wakin's announcement in its original Chinese language format.) It sounds like Wakin.com will have a very fun new look and feel! We are looking forward to it!

 

  • Wakin has invited Jackie Chan to be a special guest at his upcoming Hong Kong concerts on September 19 and 20!  At Sina.com, Wakin stands by his friend and says "He is just a child at heart."

In a July 18, 2006 article in Chinadaily.com, Jackie Chan publicly apologized for his intoxicated disruption of Jonathan Lee's concert in Hong Kong on July 11.  "I was wrong," Jackie was quoted in the article as saying.  "I shouldn't play with my friendship with Jonathan Lee in public.   • Wakin's Concert in San Francisco was phenomenal!  If anyone else who was at the show there in San Fran last Friday night, or at the Connecticut concerts on Feb. 4-5,  would like to submit an article about the show for publication here, I am collecting! Please submit your article to webmaster@wakin-chau.us.
