Plot outline:
Keung (Jackie Chan) comes to New York's Bronx to attend
his uncle's wedding. When his uncle (Bill Tung)
sells his neighborhood grocery store to Elaine (Anita
Mui), a beautiful young Chinese woman, Keung agrees to
stay in New York for awhile and help her get started.
But a previous entanglement with a gang of small-time
hoods sparks a string of attacks on the store.
Keung's conflict with the gang escalates when he begins
dating the gang leader's girlfriend, Nancy (Françoise
Yip). When a member of the gang gets in trouble with a
big-time crime syndicate, they wage war on the entire
neighborhood. Keung must do battle with the mob
single-handedly in order to save Nancy and Elaine, and
restore peace.
