Most known for:
Considered to be
"The Father of Taiwanese Pop Music," Lee is
highly renowned for his songwriting abilities, as
well as being a stellar producer of albums for Rock Records.
Connection to Wakin:
First gave Wakin his chance to record his debut album,
the smash-hit
Direction of the Heart in 1987, and has produced many of
Wakin's albums since then. The two are great friends,
and Wakin refers to Jonathan as "Elder Brother."
Collaborations with Wakin:
Include such songs as "Feeling
Troubled Lately" (also with Victor Wong), written by Lee
and featured on the
Storyteller album, as
well as "Under the Sunny Sky" (also with Jackie Chan and
Anthony Wong), and "The Glory of the Earth" (also with
Karen Mok and other artists).* Their most
celebrated collaboration to date is the 2005 joint
"Anthology" concert tour, which pulled in
enormous crowds in multiple countries throughout
Southeast Asia last year.
